Yamaha have just announced the WXAD-10. This brand new addition to their MusicCast family allows almost any device to become part of your multi-room world.
The WXAD-10, nicknamed the MusicCast ADD, brings any audio product you already own in to your multi-room system.
The ADD is wrapped in a stylish, ceramic-like coating. This enables it to be placed anywhere and fit with your already existing décor.
It’s also small enough to be placed discreetly out of sight. As it is powered by a single USB cable, hooking it up is simple.
ADD anything
Whether it be a soundbar, a set of HiFi components, a home theatre, a CD system, the WXAD-10 can connect to it.
Simply use the RCA connection on the back to send a line level signal. Alternatively, use the 3.5mm output and control the volume directly via the MusicCast app.
You can almost think of this unit as a way to ‘just ADD MusicCast’.

MusicCast WXAD-10 compatibility
The WXAD-10 is compatible with hi-res audio up to 192/24 FLAC, WAV and AIFF with support for 92/24 ALAC as well.
Inside is circuitry designed by Yamaha. It has been designed to minimise and optimise the signal path. It uses high quality parts and technologies.
The world-renowned Burr-Brown DAC is used inside alongside original PML condensers.
The network module is also a custom built unit. Expect low jitter and a high signal to noise ratio in combination with the custom circuitry.
That should all add up to the WXAD-10 not only looking the part, but sounding pretty good too.
