UK Apple Apps get More Expensive!

I think I missed the memo from Apple warning me about this – just in case you missed it too it appears that the prices for paid apps from iTunes have increased.

Apps for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad have all just got a little bit dearer.

Word is that Apple announced these new prices on Wednesday… no, me neither.

The cheapest paid apps will now cost you 69p instead of 59p – this equates to almost a 17% price hike. Yup, Angry Birds now costs 69p!

Then the story is replicated through the entire app range, well, except the £2.99 apps oddly enough – these will remain £2.99.

This is how the prices look now:

59p –> 69p
£1.19 –> £1.49
£1.79 –> £1.99
£2.39 –> £2.49
£2.99 still £2.99
£3.49 –> £3.99
£3.99 –> £4.99
£4.99 –> £5.49
£5.49 –> £5.99
£5.99 –> £6.99
£6.99 –> £7.99
£7.49 –> £8.99
£8.99 –> £10.49
£9.49 –> £10.99
