Thermaltake BlacX 5G USB 3.0 Super Speedy Hard Drive Dock

Looking for a speedy way to transfer large files from a hard drive?

Well, Thermaltake’s latest docking station might well be the answer.  This aggressive looking dock goes by the name of BlacX 5G.

This 73 x 136 x 88 mm HDD dock comes equipped with a USB 3.0 port which means that you can expect file transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps should your rig have USB 3.0 support.

That translates to a 25GB movie being shifted in 14.2 minutes on USB 2.0 suddenly taking a mere 1.25 mins over USB 3.0!

If not, well, it will work on good ol’ USB 2.0 (even 1.1) til you can upgrade 🙂
