Hi Gareth & Crew, Really enjoying the podcast – great to hear a Northern Ireland accent on a tech show (I’m a local), a nice change from the American!

As you’re probably aware, buying power banks and replacement batteries in NI can be a bit of a challenge as Amazon and most other sellers will no longer post them here. Personally, it took 5 attempts before I found a seller on eBay willing to dispatch an Anker to NI, rather than simply cancelling my order outright.

Do you have any suggestions for purchasing items like these online for people in Northern Ireland, or are we always going to be restricted to what’s available locally? Out of interest, purchasing a replacement battery for my Note 4 was initially futile as no-one will send a rechargeable lithium ion battery here, until I went direct to the Samsung UK site, and they dispatched one no questions asked. How come they can do it and other sellers can’t? And how come a brand new boxed phone containing a rechargeable battery can be sent from Amazon no problem, but the battery can’t be sent on its own? Frustrating!

Thanks again for any insight you might have, It would be interesting to know what Aukey, Anker, and companies like them have to say on the matter. Personally, I’d even be happy to pay an additional postage charge, or use a slower ground-based shipping method, if this allowed for the transport of such items.
