TDK TH-WR700 Headphones Say “Grab my Dongle” to Bluetooth Cans
I’ve been looking around for a decent set of Bluetooth headphones to hook-up to my iPhone.
I like the look of the Jaybird Sportband but haven’t found anywhere that would let me try before I buy.
Let’s face it – finding a cracking pair of Bluecans aint easy.
TDK blows raspberries at stereo Bluethooth transmission and tells us to shove a dongle in our 3.5mm hole!
Yup, the new TDK TH-WR700 headphones comes with a dongle that slips into any 3.5mm headphone port to transmit music up to 10 meters away.
Add that with the clever Kleer wireless tech instead of Bluetooth, TDK claims a much higher fidelity—up to 40db less noise in the signal, which would be more than noticeable.
The sonic details are that the phones have a 20Hz–20kHz frequency response, and 108 dB/mW sensitivity.
The TH-WR700 goes on sale in Japan starting this March for around the £125 but no word as to whether-or-not they’ll ever reach these shores.
