Suaoki 6 port USB desktop mains charger review
I think it is safe for me to say that we’ve all been there. Whether at home or at work, there never seems to be enough power outlets to plug in all your gadgets to charge. Even when there is, the plug adapters can make it a very snug fit to get more than a couple in at a time. Suaoki have developed a more family friendly charging solution.
The Suaoki 6-Port high-speed compatible USB desktop charger has been specifically aimed at those gadgety households where the plaintive cry of an almost out of battery device can regularly be heard.
Suaoki 6-Port USB charger design
Although there’s not much to say about the Suaoki desktop charger it is simple, clean and purposeful.
The white block is host to 6 reversible plug ports so that you can quickly shove in your USB charging cable without fearing it’s the wrong way around. How come it sometimes takes three attempts to plug in a USB lead anyhow?
The charger is fairly compact, measuring 155 x 58 x 28 mm and weighing only 192g.
Everything is your classic white (or black depending on which flavour you choose), expect the blue bits.
According to the paperwork, the USB charger is constructed from fire-retardant materials and has “outstanding fire resistance and electrical isolation”. It also meets CE, FCC, and RoHS certification.
Suaoki 6-Port USB charger performance
Thanks to “exclusive Suaoki state of art TIR-C Technology” the 6-port USB charger identifies and adapts to the specific charging currency of your device, which speeds up the charging process.
This means that each USB port will intelligently identify your device’s requirements and adapts to its specific recharge rate (able to rise to 2.4 amps per port).
The multi-port USB charger is rated at 50W/10A and allows you to charge any combination of phones, tablets or other USB-charged devices simultaneously.
Each port actually does stop charging once that particular device’s battery has been replenished.
Suaoki 6-Port USB charger review conclusion
This is one of those things that you don’t realise you need until you actually have one. I have a number of 4 or 6-gang power extensions dotted about the home but having the ability to charge up to 6 devices from one plug socket is great.
Since the Suaoki 6-Port USB charger landed at Gadgety HQ there has been no fights over who’s phone can charge where. I also like the fact that having reversible style ports means no matter which way around your USB cable hits the charging block it will work. Great news when you decide to plug your phone in to charge *after* you’ve turned all the lights out.
For the sake of £15 I think that every household and office should have at least one.
Go and order one, they’re available in black or white, from Amazon.co.uk for £14.99
