Cast your GadgetyNews memory banks back to September 28th 2009 – That’s when I first brought you news of Sharp‘s pebble-smooth contoured Touch Wood concept mobile phone.

This gorgeous chunk of tree-based tech has managed to get itself created from locally sourced cypress and to appear for sale in Japan!

15,000 of these curvy, wood-trimmed cellphones will be available through NTT DoCoMo and will feature a 5-megapixel camera, a 3.4-inch (854 x 480) display as well as a MicroSDHC expansion slot.

Book your trip to Japan around February or March 2011 if you fancy the feel of wood against your face 🙂
