Samsung Jot – Bringing Back Rotary Dialing for 2015
Somehow the more modern things get the larger the hunger for retro styling gets.
Raymond Bessemer knows this all too well and kept this in mind for his design for this Samsung phone.
The ‘Jot’ is a mobile phone that uses a capacitive OLED display, removable stylus and physical rotary dial.
You sling people’s digits in the old-fashioned rotary-dial way and you jot down notes using a stylus rather than a keyboard. I’m guessing that’s how you’d text as well.
That big hole in the middle is just asking to be hooked onto a belt or perhaps just spun round your finger in a gun-slinger stylee.
It looks cool and has been designed with 2015 in mind.
