Samsung i8910 HD Out Now in UK [ Omnia HD Pro ]

samsung-omniahd-i8910-hdSamsung’s i8910 HD has just gone on sale here in the U to the K – it can be yours now thanks to Orange.

The i8910 HD was once known as the Omnia HD and sometimes the Pro.

For some reason Sammy thought that a load of numbers would be easier for folk to remember.

The i8910 HD is the first ever mobile to offer high definition video recording.

Yeah, this phone will let you grab 720p footage at 24 fps – and it’ll look fab on play back on its high resolution, 3.7” AMOLED screen.

Taking snaps is pretty good as well as the stills are taken care of by an 8 megapixel, with LED flash packing camera.

You also get Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Shot and Panorama Shot modes.

The Samsung i8910 HD supports DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, WMV and MPEG4 videos, MP3, AAC / AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA videos audio, and it comes with 8GB of memory on board.

The phone ticks over using the latest Symbian S60 operating system.

If all that’s not enough howsabout GPS, an accelerometer for flipping the screen when you turn it, a compass, a light sensor and, most intriguingly, a proximity sensor.

To be honest – I’m not entirely sure what that proximity sensor does. Perhaps it helps you walking backwards to your chair.

The Samsung i8910 HD can be grabbed from Orange for free on a £40 per month – you have to sign up for a 24 month contract though.
