Philips GoGear Opus BBC iPlaying PMP Announced

sa5285c_02-gal-globalPhilips has just unwrapped its new top-of-the range GoGear personal media player, named Opus, in Lisbon today.

It’s stocked with a 2.8-inch QVGA screen and is a step up from the also newly announced Ariaz.

The Opus is set to be the largest PMP in the GoGear range – but remains thin and lightweight.

It’s packing Philips FullSound technology, combined with HD and sound isolation headphones so everything should hit you nice and clear.

Other features of the Opus include Bluetooth stereo audio output, easy download of open source videos using the included software, FM radio and a microphone for voice and radio recording.

The Opus also supports BBC iPlayer for watching back your favourite BBC shows.

The GoGear Opus will be available in April in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities. European prices have been announced at 99 Euros, 147 Euros and 179 Euros respectively.
