OtterBox Defender Series iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display cases
Here we go. Just as the Apple iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display were announced, companies that want to carefully cover the new tech have started to release their wares. The best of what I’ve been sent notice of so far is from OtterBox.
OtterBox is well known in the gadget protection game and have prepared their renown Defender Series for iPad mini with Retina display and Defender Series for iPad.
The Defender Series for iPad mini with Retina display is available for pre-order in black now and will ship by Oct. 31. Clearly Protected device guards are also coming soon for both of the new tablets.
“Apple’s tablet lineup continues to change the way people connect around the world,” said OtterBox CEO Brian Thomas. “When OtterBox designs for the latest iPads, we complement the Apple design intent and functionality and ensure these devices are protected from physical harm. Our category-leading cases provide consumers the confidence to know that their tablets are functional virtually everywhere they go.”
The Defender Series combines a built-in screen protector, polycarbonate shell and shock-absorbing slip cover to defend against scratches, dust and drops.
A removable screen shield protects the Retina display when the device is not in use and doubles as a media viewing stand in landscape and portrait modes.
The Defender Series for iPad mini with Retina display is also compatible with the regular iPad mini too.
Clearly Protected device guards offer barely-there protection from scratches, scuffs and impacts. Clearly Protected Vibrant, coming soon, preserves the display sharpness and brilliancy for the iPad mini with Retina display and iPad Air.
I am currently testing out both the Defender and Commuter cases for the HTC One – review to appear soon!
