New Smarter Coffee hitting UK – voice, app, geo-controlled caffeine machine

smarter coffee gen 2My mornings are timed to military precision. Unfortunately, breakfast and, more importantly, my first coffee has to wait until I am in the office. If only there was a way of automating my first brew(s). If only there was a Smarter Coffee.

I need at least two coffees before my colleagues will approach me. That usually happens between 9:30 and 10:00am.

Smarter Coffee brought perfectly brewed coffee every single morning without having to even flick a switch.

Smarter, one of the fastest growing UK connected home companies, has now launched its long-awaited Smarter Coffee – 2nd Generation into UK retail stores.

Smarter Coffee

smarter coffee gen 2 panelsThe WiFi connected Smarter Coffee really is Smarter.

It learns and remembers when you have your morning cup of coffee. It can also be programmed to use specific timers.

Furthermore, it uses geo-caching to know when you’re back from work.

If all that is too much like the coffee machine is taking over, you can simply switch it on via your phone.

Bean to cup

Smarter Coffee takes any work out of making the perfect cup of coffee by grinding the beans and getting your personalised pot ready for you whenever you need that sweet, sweet caffeine.

Smarter Coffee appThrough the Smarter app, you can fresh grind and brew coffee from anywhere. Not only that, you can adjust brew strength, temperature and quantity.

Alexa. Coffee.

Sometimes even using an app is too much. Thankfully, a voice command to Amazon’s Alexa or Google Home can also start your clever coffee brewing.

By creating applets using automation service IFTTT (If This Then That) you can integrate it with a variety of other smart home devices –  for example Philips Hue Lights. So, when the kitchen lights turn on, your coffee starts to brew.

Smarter CEO and founder Christian Lane said:

We are excited to have our 2nd Generation of Smarter Coffee going into stores this month. All the indicators show that consumers are ready to put technology to work to make their daily lives simpler and more convenient via connected appliances. Like our latest iKettle (3rd Gen) that was launched in the middle of this year, Smarter Coffee is delivering an unprecedented level of connection to our customers, now linking to the rest of their smart home.”
