New iPhone 6 is all curvy – even the screen
There has been recent rumbles that the iPhone 6 may feature a curved screen and aluminium body. Can you imagine how that looks? Well, no need as some folks have been kind enough to draw it for us.
Thanks to French website Nowhereelse.fr and designer Martin Hajek the rumours have been used to put together these renders of how the next gen Apple smartphone might look.
Personally, I preferred the curves of the 3G/3GS and these renders show an iPhone 6 which now has rounded corners, complete with a novel display glass that slightly wraps around the front of the device.
This mock-up shows the power button on the phone’s upper right side, with rectangular volume controls on the left. The bottom of the device is also shown housing a headphone jack, Lightning port, and speaker.
According to recent reports, the 4.7-inch version will be the first to ship, while the larger 5.5-inch version will ship later as Apple attempts to solve issues with the phone’s battery life and display.
Aside from a larger display, both models of the iPhone 6 are expected to feature a thinner profile (as usual), a faster A8 processor, an improved camera with optical image stabilisation, and Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Do you think it’s time that Apple shook things up a little more with their next iPhone?
