Motorola XOOM Lands in UK Next Week – First UK Honeycomb Tablet
It’s seems like it has been ages since it was announced that we residents of this glorious group of countries were going to get Motorola’s XOOM tablet.
With the hearty boast that Moto will shift a million of their Honeycomb slate by mid year it has a lot to live up to.
Although pre-orders have been taken and it has been said that the XOOM will touch down in the first week of April there still seems to be no real idea exactly which day – so bets are on and there’s a 1 in 7 chance you’ll be right!
Currys, PC World, Dixons (they’re all the same company really) and Carphone Warehouse have already outed their prices and if you’re looking to spend around £500 for the Wi-Fi only version and £600 for one rocking the 3G then you’ll be on the money.
CPW has the 3G XOOM at £599.99 SIM Free whereas PC World et al have the Wi-Fi only flavour up at £499.99.
I’m still not certain which versions will be here next week, or if we’ll be graced by both on April 1st. One thing that I am certain of, however, is that by the end of next week the UK will have its first Honeycomb-powered tablet available.
You fancy it?
