Moto X colourful phone backs leaked
It seems that not only is Apple looking to get its colour on, Motorola are extending their palette with their Moto X Android smartphone.
A picture has emerged that could bolster claims that Motorola is looking to make its forthcoming and much-rumoured Moto X Android phone a more fun and less drab device.
French website Nowhereelse claims it was sent an image from one of its sources inside Motorola’s US manufacturing operations which shows several rear cases for the new phone.
They are said to come in several colours – amongst which are the aqua, red and purple versions pictured – and the idea is that you will be able to customise your Moto X handset by removing the back and replacing with another. I’m sure my 90s Nokia did that…
The source, who wishes to remain anonymous, says that no fewer than 16 different coloured shells will be available.
I’m wondering if these backs actually make up part of the actual phone or if they are just clickable coloured panels.
Previous rumours suggest that the Moto X will have a 720p screen, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing cam. It will also come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
What do you think? Actual leaked shots of a new phone or just some aftermarket cases?
