LG Optimus 7Q Windows Phone 7 Ready to Battle BlackBerry

I don’t know what I’ve started now. First I get asked about SIM free Windows Phone 7 handsets and present the Dell Venue Pro then I get asked if there’s any other QWERTY packing WinPho7 blowers.

So, in answer to the latest question. Yes. The LG Optimus 7Q.

As tempting as it is just to leave it there for no other reason than laziness I shall now go in to details.

The 7Q and Venue Pro happen to be (to my knowledge) the only Windows Phone 7 handsets that actually have QWERTY-boards.

Where the Venue Pro is a vertical slider, the 7Q comes out the side.

The 7Q has shares processor power with the Venue Pro also as it has the 1GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood.

The 7Q has a 3.5-inch AMOLED screen and you’ll find a 5-megapixel snapper on the rear which is equipped with a 4x digital zoom, night shot mode, auto focus and a flash. It packs 512MB of RAM, 16GB of memory, and supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

This is another potential BlackBerry taunter as with the swift one-two of QWERTY usability and Microsoft Office love it should prove a business winner.

On the fun side of things let us not forget the Zune and Xbox fabiness that WinPho7 promises.

The only draw-back is that the LG Optimus 7Q is going to be held back in this country as LG have only just unleashed the Optimus 7. I’m pretty sure that we’ll get it – it’s just a matter of when.
