LG G Flex curved self-healing phone lands in UK next month

lg g flex portrait officialLG will launch its curved G Flex Android smartphone in Europe next month, the Korean company has just announced.

This means consumers in UK and major European markets including Germany, France, Italy, Sweden and Austria, among others, will be able to get their hands on the smartphone, which comes with a vertical curve and a “self-healing” cover.

That special super-power means that the G Flex is capable of covering over minor scratches. Round back you’ll also find the rear-mounted set of power and volume buttons.

It was already revealed in December that mobile operator EE will be carrying the G Flex in the UK next month.

Prices are still yet to be finalised, but the smartphone isn’t going to come cheap and word is that it’ll cost at least £600 SIM-free, with prices likely to be pushing the £700 mark.

Apparently, it is also looking unlikely you’ll be able to get the smartphone free on contract – even on the most expensive monthly tariffs.

So far, LG has already released the G Flex in Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore – where it retails for S$1,088 ($870 US).

It’ll be hitting India “soon” and will be launched in the US on Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile some time this quarter.

Are you tempted at all?
