The Q50a is a Dolby Atmos-enabled, upward-firing speaker that works seamlessly with the KEF Q Series range, as well as other AV speaker systems.
The Q50a’s sound performance has been expertly tuned by KEF acoustic engineers. You can expect it to bring an extraordinarily immersive, cinematic verticality of Dolby Atmos sound into your home without having to fit overhead speakers. You see, it manages this by cleverly using precision ceiling reflection.
Additionally, Q50a can also be easily mounted on the wall using dedicated keyhole fixings. This way you can use them to create a high-fidelity home surround sound experience.
On the inside
Thanks to the Damped Tweeter Loading Tube – a rubber, chisel shaped damper – high frequencies sound detailed and natural.
At the heart of Q50a is the latest Q-Series Uni-Q driver array. This features a lighter cone return, improved spider suspension (well, if you are going to suspend spiders you might as do it well), and a new generation of cone neck decoupler. All of that adds up to excellent dynamics with a supremely accurate, fast, and clean sonic response.
