New iPad joining iPad Mini at tomorrow’s Apple event

Tomorrow’s Apple event seems to be promising a new full-sized iPad as well as the new Mini – that’s as well as a new MacBook and iMac!

Holy moly, Apple has been busy!

Word out on the interwebs is suggesting all manner of Appley goodness for the October 23rd event.

Sources claim that the current ‘New’ (3rd gen) 9.7-inch iPad is going to get a bit of an overhaul. This will involve the fruity slate adopting the new Lightning connector and compatibility with 4G LTE – EE’s upcoming UK network included.

The understanding is that the new, New iPad will actually replace the existing model with insiders stating that the price structure will remain the same, as will the storage options.

That means you could get a 4G-equipped iPad for £499.

All will become official tomorrow at 6pm GMT (10am PT).
