iOS 8 promises iTunes Radio, Healthbook and more new apps

itunes-radioThe next major release of Apple’s mobile OS will be Apple iOS 8, this is expected to land in September, along with the new iPhone 6 and the Apple iWatch.

The iPhone operating system will bring with it major improvements to Apple’s Maps application but new apps are also on the horizon.

Most notably a stand alone app for iTunes Radio and something called Healthbook, to name but two.

iTunes Radio could be a pretty exciting addition to iOS 8 as users will be able get swift access to iTunes Radio.

The app will compete with the likes of the Pandora, Spotify, and iHeartRadio but Apple will be able to rest a little easier as, naturally, iTunes Radio will already be pre-installed on their hardware.

The latest photo, below, shows three new apps for Apple iOS 8, Healthbook, Preview and TexEdit, the last two are already apps on Mac OS X, and it looks like Apple is bringing these to iOS 8.

apple-ios-8The Healthbook application is apparently Apple’s new fitness application for Apple iOS 8, and we suspect that this application will also work with the new Apple iWatch.

As you can see from the photo above, the overall design of Apple iOS 8 is very similar to that of iOS 7, Apple has kept the flat icons that were introduced in iOS 7. I cannot, however, guarantee that these will be how the actual icons will look when iOS 8 is released.
