HP TouchPad now on Amazon
The HP TouchPad has hit Amazon – the webOS slate has been treated to a placeholder for the Wi-Fi only model.
Amazon are obviously playing all coy as you’re not even able to pre-order the TouchPad yet and we’re teased with the option to:
“Sign up to be notified when this product becomes available.â€
To be honest you wont be waiting that long as HP has already said that the TouchPad that it would be landing “in the summer†😉
The listed spec on the Amazon site is:
- 9.7†(1024×768) Touch Screen Display; 1.6lbs; 13.6mm thick
- HP webOS Mobile Operating System; Dual Core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor; 1 GB RAM
- 16GB/32GB Storage; Wireless 802.11bgn; Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR; Flash support
- 1.3 MP Front-facing Camera – video chatting capability; HP Beats Audio Technology
- Accessories: TouchPad stand and Bluetooth keyboard
The sharp-sighted amongst you will have spotted that Amazon lists the TouchPad as being equipped with a duo of USB ports. I’m guessing that this is a mistake as everything I’ve seen about the HP tablet states that the TouchPad rocks but a single microUSB port.
No mention of price anywhere – or of the HP TouchPad at all on Amazon.co.uk yet.
Tempted – or will you be looking more closely at the newly priced original iPad?
