Gibson Brands unveil raft of new audio products with Philips Soundbars leading the way
Taking centre stage are two new Philips Fidelio Soundbars offering very different solutions to suit diverse TV and home cinema audio needs – including the first Philips Fidelio model to feature Dolby Atmos. There is also a wide range of new Philips Headphones and Speaker Systems including the unique Nitro NX Mini speakers complete with huge power outputs and LED party lights.
The stunning selection, representing the highest quality and value for consumers, will be presented in the Gibson Brands Showcase, located at Central Plaza (CP1), directly across from the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
CES marks the expansion of the multi-award winning range of Philips Fidelio home cinema products with two new and very different sound bars confirming the brand’s reputation for innovation, quality and performance.
Where space is at a premium, the new ultra compact Philips Fidelio Compact Soundbar (above) manages to combine a remarkably small footprint with wireless simplicity and a big, detailed sound to create a powerful home cinema audio experience. This stylish soundbar utilizes Microbeam technology, combining four high sensitivity, precision angled drivers with advanced digital sound processing for an immersive yet balanced sound that is far, far wider than the product itself.
The second new Fidelio soundbar introduced at CES 2016 is the Philips Fidelio Soundbar Speaker with Dolby Atmos, the first model in the range to feature the new immersive Dolby sound technology. Designed to in collaboration with Dolby Laboratories the 50mm thin soundbar features 18 drivers – including two up-firing speaker modules – and Dolby Atmos processing to recreate the most realistic and immerse cinema sound experience in the home, all delivered with exceptional precision, clarity, richness and detail.
Gibson Innovations has announced the introduction of the new Philips Flite range of sleek and ultra lightweight headphones offering clear, crisp sound and designed to be truly portable. Compact and foldable, this great new line is made for the active lifestyle of modern consumers, slipping easily into a users’ bag or briefcase and providing the ultimate music experience on the go. The range consists of three products: Aerolite, Everlite and Hyprlite.
Aerolite and Everlite are over-ear headphones, with ergonomically tilted soft cushions mounted on their speaker plates to provide a greater seal and an enhanced sound isolation. The slimline design is simple yet stylish and features 32 mm high power speaker drivers in a choice of either black/gold or white/rose gold.
Hyprlite earbud headphones use a compact, almost weightless design that fits seamlessly with the contours of the ear. Hyprlite features 12.2 mm speaker drivers to reproduce clear, crisp sound and deep, rich bass and are available with a dark chrome finish or in white with a rose gold metallic gloss finish.
Further additions to the Philips headphones portfolio for 2016 include the HX1 and HX5 models; the most visual Philips headphones yet. In an industry first, both products come with bright, pulsing LEDs integrated into the ear cans and in sync with the beat of the music, adding to the excitement and creating an all new, visual way to share music everywhere. When it’s time to shine, all it takes is a push of a button to start the LEDs pulsing. The HX1 in-ear headphones feature compact 8.6mm drivers while the HX5 over-ear headphones maximize the added space with 40mm neodymium drivers. Explosive, deep bass is delivered by both models thanks to the inclusion of specially designed BassReflex ports.
Also unveiled at CES is a selection of new wireless in-ear headphones with additions to both the Philips and Philips ActionFit ranges; and all designed for the ultimate freedom of movement, portability and sound quality.
The two new models from the ActionFit range are specifically designed for sports use with focus on optimal comfort and sound even during the most intense workouts, making them the ideal workout companion for fitness enthusiasts. The RunFree (SHQ6500) Bluetooth sports earbuds feature IPX2 sweat resistance, durable Kevlar® cable, rubber ear caps and a fin design to keep the earphones tightly in your ear. Whereas the WirelessFreedom (SHQ7800) earbuds offer 3 wearing styles (ear hook, fin or earbud), durable Kevlar® cable and IPX4 sweat and water proofing.
The new wireless Bluetooth in-ear headphones from the Philips range each feature attractive, light-weight designs which are simple to use and have excellent sound quality.

Also unveiled at CES are two explosive new additions to the popular Gibson Innovations Nitro NX range of Mini Hi-Fi home systems, the NTX400 and NTX600 bring more exciting nightclub-worthy blasts of sound and light into the home in 2016. These fantastic new releases will thrill music fans with super sound power and thumping bass, pumping out 1000W and 2400W, respectively.
