vidzone_ps3Rejoyce Europeand PS3 owners for you shall be getting a huge is about to get a massive boost on the music side of things thanks to VidZone‘s official launch on the Sony console later on today via the Play Station Store.

VidZone is based right here in London town and offers a music video download service of around 10,000 videos to stream to your console right away.

Before you start thinking that “this is the crunch – how much is all this going to cost me?”

Nothing.  Nix. Nada. Zilch.

it’s totally free boys and girls!!

You get a selection from Sony BMG, EMI and numerous independent labels, including artists Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears, Fatboy Slim, Black Eyed Peas, Glasvegas, Dizzee Rascal, P!nk, Noisettes, Ne-Yo, Armand van Helden, Tori Amos (yum!) and Akon.

I’m trying not to get too smug but needed to mention that this is a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe project – we’re getting this before North America 🙂

All you need to do is point your PS3 at the PlayStation Store, download the application and, once it has installed, you’ll find a brand new VidZone icon in the music menu of your XMB.  Beautiful.

You can watch individual videos and control them as you’d expect – rewind, fast forward, pause, and set up and store playlists.

Enjoy 🙂
