Galaxy S7 waterproof video released
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will be announced along with the S7 Edge on February 21st but Samsung Indonesia has already released a promo video for the handset.
The video clearly shows the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge being used in the rain, this confirms the rumors that the handset would be waterproof.
We’ve already seen the press shots but there’s something a little special about seeing them being used – especially the added Galaxy S7 waterproof skills.
The specs seem to point at the handsets will come loaded with a 5.1-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 1560 x 1440 pixels.
Processing duties will come thanks to either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or a Samsung Exynos 8990 depending on the region.
The new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot.
Both handsets will get larger batteries than the current models, the S7 will come with a 3000 mAh battery and the S7 Edge with a 3600 mAh battery. Also seen in the video is the Galaxy S7’s wireless charging tech.
Other specifications will include WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Samsung is expected to take pre-orders of the device from February 21st and there are rumors that any pre-orders between then and the March 10th will come with a free Gear VR.
