Flexicord – The HDMI Cable That Rocks Like a Retro Guitar Lead
You must know by now that I’m a huge fan of those simple ideas that seem obvious yet nobody seems to think of them.
Well, here’s another that’s all set to debut at CES 2009.
Enter the Flexicord HDMI cable with its patented Memory Cord Technology. It is waiting in the wings to aid consumers solve the problem of finding the right cable length to hook up their gear.
One of the downsides of coiled cable is that it can be unruly if there is too much slack, but the manufacturers of Flexicord claim that it can bend anywhere along its length and hold the angle indefinitely.
Details on pricing and precisely how long these cords will be when fully stretched out has not been made available, but it seems like it would be a better solution than fixed cable – how many of us has tried to bend a new HDMI lead and have to wrestle it into position?
Also – it looks like one of those guitar leads that were the must have in the ’70s and ’80s 🙂
