We love Eclipse speakers here at GadgetyNews. Not only do they perform exceptionally well, they also look awesome. In fact, we are currently living with the TD510MK2 speakers.

Eclipse are bringing their top-of-the-range speakers and sub to The Bristol Show following a collaboration with Stockton-on-Tees hi-fi distributor, Decent Audio.

TD712zMK2BKVisitors to the Decent Audio room/s at the show will experience Eclipse’s flagship TD712zMK2 speakers and range-topping TD725SWMK2 subwoofer in perfect harmony. Additionally, they will be pushed along by electronics from Audio Analogue and a vinyl front-end from Kronos. Very tasty kit, indeed.

Eclipse TD712zMK2 loudspeaker

TD712zMK2BKThe flagship TD712zMK2 delivers Eclipse’s finest sonic performance. These are equipped with the largest drive unit configuration in the Eclipse stable. They are loaded with a 12cm full-range fibreglass unit which offers greater power handling and a wider frequency response.

Furthermore, Eclipse’s renown waveform reproduction technologies are also deployed. Their instantly recognisable egg-shaped chassis is naturally matched with a high-mass anchor and vibration-eliminating acoustic treatments.

TD725SWMK2 subwoofer

TD725SWMK2The range-topping TD725SWMK2 is the perfect partner for the aforementioned speakers.

The Eclipse sub uses dual drive units that are comparatively small in diameter but can be driven at high speed.

TD725SWMK2The back-to-back units are connected with an aluminium shaft and driven in-phase. The generated reaction force forms a strong base in place of the ground anchor found in Eclipse loudspeakers.

Also, the drivers ‘float’ inside the cabinet and special materials are used to suppress vibration.

TD725SWMK2Finally, an ICEpower made high-output digital power amplifier is employed. The reason for this is that it enables a smaller internal circuit while keeping high linearity at maximum output.
