DriveClub PS4 game delayed – Another PlayStation 4 launch title to miss release day

DriveclubFollowing on from the rumours circulating yesterday regards the delay of the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 DriveClub game it sounds as the grapevine was right.

Gamers waiting to play the new and exclusive PlayStation 4 racing game, as seen when GadgetyNews dropped in at Eurogamer 2013, will be disappointed to learn that Sony has today confirmed that the rumours were indeed true and DriveClub will not be available for the launch of a new next-generation PS4 console next month.

The news that DriveClub would be delayed has been published on the PlayStation Blog where Sony’s Yoshida explained that the game “requires more development time before it can deliver on Evolution Studios and Sony’s vision”

“We understand that the delay is disappointing news, but can assure you that the reason we have made this decision is to ensure that when DriveClub launches, it will realise the next-gen racing vision.”

Sony’s new DriveClub game is not the only game to miss the PlayStation 4 launch window. Yesterday, Ubisoft also announced that the highly anticipated Watch Dogs will also not be available at launch for the PlayStation 4 and instead will be made available in the first quarter of 2014.

The next generation PlayStation console will be launching on November 15th 2013 in the US and slightly later throughout Europe on November 29th 2013.

The PS4 is priced at $399, €399, and £349 depending on your location.
