Asus Transformer Book Flip is a Core i7 Yoga taunter
The Transformer Book Flip comes with an Intel Core up to i7 processor and has a fixed hinge keyboard so no running away with just the screen section with this Transformer.
Like Lenovo’s Yoga latop tablet, you can fold the keyboard all the way round so it can be used like a tablet which just happens to run the full-fat version of Windows 8.1 OS.
The TP550 comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD LED backlit display and Intel i5 or i7 supported by 8GB of RAM. Also under the hood you’ll find Intel HD 4400 graphics, a 750GB hard drive. There’s a DVD S-Multi 8x drive in the 2.6kg, 27.2mm thick laptop as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi – but no 802.11ac.
The TP300 is a 13.3-inch Full HD screen toting laptop with Intel Core i3 or i5 and 4GB or 6GB of RAM and a 500GB drive. This has no disc drive so weighs quite a bit less than it’s disc spinning stablemate at 1.75kg and is 22mm thick.
The Asus Transformer TP550 starts from £599 and the TP300 begins at £449. Both will be available from the end of June and I would love to see how the Transformer Book Flip performs as I’ve been thinking about buying a Yoga.
