Asus ET2300 Windows 8 desktop packs a clever 23-inch screen

Windows 8, being a touch-friendly operating system, means that manufacturers need to look at how their desktop puters can utilise this. Asus has just unveiled its new ET2300 all-in-one which ticks all the boxes.

The Asus ET2300 is an all-in-one desktop computer that packs a 23-inch screen which can be positioned to rest almost flat.

This bit of screen yoga means that it will be easier to access the display when you’re poking and prodding at it as a touchscreen device.

As well as offering a horizontal viewing angle of 178 degrees, when totally flat, the IPS screen has a resolution of 1080p.

The Asus ET2300 can be equipped with a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, supported by up to 8GB of Ram and a NVIDIA’s GT 630M graphics with up to 2GB of onboard graphics memory available if you so desire.

Other notable features of the new Asus ET2300 include a 2TB HDD, DVD drive, Intel Wireless Display and optional Thunderbolt connectivity if required.

At the moment there’s no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Asus, but as soon as information comes to light I’ll let you know.
