Archos G10 XS set to be Thinnest Tablet with a Keyboard Dock – calls Transformer Prime Chubby [video]

Archos G10 XS Thinnest TabletArchos revelead some details about their projects for the coming year at a press conference held on March 14th in Paris – this included the G10 XS – and now there’s a video of the Transformer Prime challenger!

The G10 XS will feature a 7.6mm thin steel body which, if it comes out like they are hoping, will max out at only 11mm when paired with its companion keyboard dock – take that new iPad!

OK, so all we have at the moment is some nice video rendering and some sketches – but it still looks good.

It would claim that generally short-lived title of ‘thinnest tablet in the world’, true. What is more important is that it will arrive powered by Ice Cream Sandwich.

So, as well as taunting the iPad with its slender steel frame it also looks like it will be picking a fight with the other keyboard docking Android slate, the Asus Transformer Prime.

Although I can’t make my mind up as to whether the keyboard actually docks with the G10 XS or if it just links via Bluetooth.

The price of the G10 XS is said to hover around the €200-€400 mark. That’s $250-500 in the US.
