Archos 2 Now Ready to Take on iPod Nano in UK!

Archos has now made its iPod nano baiting Archos 2 MP3 player official by way of shoving the 8GB version up on its UK site for a fairly pocket-friendly £39.99.

The Archos 2 is regaled with a 1.8-inch 128×160 colour screen and Micro-SDHC card slot for memory expansion.

You can even have a look at your snaps as long as they’re JPEGs and even watch movies (AVI, conversion needed) ontop of playing your MP3 and WMA type choonz.

There’s a microphone and voice recording software built-in to the little thing too.

It sounds like there’s a 16GB version on the way, although it’s not up at the Archos web store yet but I’d reckon you’d be looking at the £60 mark for that baby.
