Acer Iconia Tab UK Pricing and Launch Date Revealed

Acer has finally confirmed the UK pricing for its new Iconia Tab series of Windows and Android slates.

The WiFi-only versions of both the 10.1-inch Windows 7 Iconia Tab W500 and the A500 Android version will hit your wallets and purses to the tune of £449 each when they launch here on April 8th.

If you want more portable connectivity then the prices are bumped up – the 3G-equipped W500 will set you back £529 and I’d guess that the Android version would be about the same price but I’ve as yet been able to find the official price for the 3G version of the A500.

The Acer Iconia Tab is equipped with a dual core processor, a front-facing 2MP webcam and a 5MP snapper around the back, will play Flash vids and animation and will come rocking Dolby Mobile smarts for decent sound.

On release day you will have the option to grab the keyboard dock. The price of converting your Acer Tab into a netbook will be £90 for the dock on its own or £529 in a bundle.

If you’d rather something a little smaller then you’ll be pleased to know that the 7-inch A100 and W100 models will arrive May or there abouts with an asking price of around €349.
