7digital Takes The Fight to iTunes on American and Canadian Soil

7digital will be a known name to those who legally download tunes here in the UK.

That will soon be changing – but in a good way.

The Great British MP3 download site has just thrown open its doors to the US of A taking on the might of iTunes.

Not only is 7digital taking on the huge Apple store it’s undercutting it whilst retaining its passion for DRM-free choonz.

Over in the States you’ll soon be able to grab a 320k MP3 for just 77c and albums for $7.77 – undercutting iTunes variable pricing which starts at 79c.

Canadians get to join in the fun as a branch has also hit the net and it gets better.

Not only are there new stores cropping up they’re going to be offering FLAC and MP3 bundles, starting with the all-new Massive Attack album.
