Tiny Funai Projector Makes Any Wall Multitouch

by Jay Garrett on October 8, 2009

Funai Multitouch Projector ScannerFunai has an added bonus in their pico projector – the ability to make any surface multitouch.

This prototype uses a Nippon Signal MEMS scanner and a heap of clever tech that when all combined is able to throw multitouch capabilities to whatever surface the projected image hits!

Just think, bedroom wall, office whiteboard, your desk – wherever that image is projected live you can count on that surface having multitouch capabilities.

Users are able to simply twist and turn the image in order to have it modified in real-time

Check out Engadget’s vid below to see it in action – they expect the tech to go commercial sometime next year.
