Sony Ericsson – thank you for proving it possible!
They’ve taken what was first believed to be no more than a funky concept and made it become the XPERIA Pureness (previously known as the KiKi) – Not only that; it also happens to be the world’s first handset to have a transparent display.
In true arty fashion the press release (or should that be press prose?) reads quite dreamily thus:
“Xperia Pureness approaches the mobile phone as a work of art rather than technology. The company’s designers aimed to sculpt an object of design that reflected the purity of water and a sense of calmness when not in use,”
The folks over in AreaMobile have actually managed to get shots of the device that show the Pureness and it does really look quite nice. Check their shot in the gallery with the iPhone
Details are thin on the ground, chances are the SE artisans haven’t dreamed them up yet.
What I do know is that the XPERIA Pureness will be released in the UK in November.

Remember the SE Rachael?
Well, looks like eXpansys has leaked the details of the new Sony Ericsson Xperia handset.
Although only listed within the site as the Sony Ericsson Xperia the listing details a very different handset to that currently available.
According to eXpansys, the new mobile phone will come with an 8 mega-pixel camera, hi-resolution touch sensitive display and innovative 3D panel interface.
Rather than sport Windows Mobile as with the previous outing, the new model is listed as packing the Google Android OS.
The new phone will also be packing a 4 inch display, quad-band connectivity, microSDHC support and stereo Bluetooth.
Sony Ericsson will try to entice photographers with the 8 megapixel camera, as found on the company’s C905, along with an LED flash.
Video support will be in the guise of VGA (640 x 480 pixels) capture at 30 frames per second.
eXpansys hasn’t listed a release date or price yet but have a look.
