If you can remember the very cool Linos ultra-portable record deck and thought that it was way too much of a futuristic concept – have a look at The Revolution from Crosley!

I’m feeling this design so much.

The Revolution isn’t meant to be hooked up to your Hi-Fi system but for taking your vinyl with you.

It runs on batteries and mains power, has USB out and 3.5mm jack. To keep this up-to-date it will feature software that will tag and ID your vinyl to digital rips.

I think this would be ideal for the office, bedroom or for occasional record playing and at around £95 it’s not going to break the bank.

The Crosley Revolution should be out mid-year in black and then a multitude of hues later.

dj-hero-controllerThis is apparantly the controller for Activision’s soon-to-be-released DJ Hero game.

Not suprisingly the controller takes the form of a turntable with buttons on it – I was kinda hoping for twin-decks with a mixer, but hey!

Two pics of this beast were tweeted from a Twitter account called “djhero” and, according to Kotaku, the images were later confirmed by an Activision press release.

What do you think?

Top Deck! Montegiro Lusso Da Vinci

Keeping on the subject of top-notch and pricey Hi-Fi equipment how about this Montegiro Lusso turntable?
Made up of three height-adjustable shiny cones made from alternate layers of acrylic and aluminum, and a larger, up-ened cone that supports the platter it kinda looks like an Alessi dining set.
The arm is, of course, a Da Vinci Nobile carbon-fiber unit which holds [...]

Pagani, better known for their Zonda supercar has gone into the luxury audio market and produced a carbon fiber-and-brushed aluminum stereo system.
There is a nod to their rather nippy car in the 350 watt speakers – slightly reminiscent of the quad exhaust dontcha think?
Known for taking a different approach they’ve loaded this system with two turntables [...]
