It was on the cards really wasn’t it?.
The new iPod Touch has had a bit of an iPhone 4 upgrade but has shunned the square body shape of Apple’s latest blower.
The new look iPod Touch has slimmed down and slipped on the Retina display as well as getting FaceTimed up with front and rear cameras.
Also from the iPhone 4 goody bag comes the A4 processing chip and 3-axis gyroscope for improved gaming.
The Touch has definitely got game thanks to the Game Centre featured in the iOS 4.1 update whichwill come packed with the new Touch when it’s out next week.
Whilst all eyes are on the addition of a front facing camera you shouldn’t ignore the one round back as it will happily record 720p HD video as well as being a happy snapper
Take your pick from 8GB, 32GB and 64GB with prices following £189, £249 and £329 respectively.
Pre-order now and get it next week.

Apple’s little iPod Nano has been given a major Jobsing today at Apple’s ‘Special Event’ at its headquarters today.
In order for the shrunken Nano to be usable to the sausage-fingered they’ve done away with the click wheel and replaced the controls with a rather neat looking multitouch loving screen – not a million miles away from this actually.
The Nano’s update has taken the previously small device in to the land of the Shuffle so much so that it gets its own Shuffle-esq clip so it can be slipped onto your collar, tie or bra-strap.
This is what Steve Jobs means when he gets a little crazy as he stated on stage “This year we’ve gone wild”.
Easy tiger!
That cool looking multitouch user interface can be orientated via two-finger rotation controls and there’s still room in that cute little body for a built in FM radio!
There’s nifty touches like the good and solid volume control buttons which are found along its brushed metal shell and the fact that the new Nano is available in six colours!
You get a choice of 8GB and 16GB flavours and you can pre-order them from today and they’ll start shipping next week priced at £129 and £159 respectively.
