Those Asus Designo monitors looked great when I last wrote about them back in September.
They’re soon gonna look a lot better soon as Asus have decided to lavish some LED backlighting love upon them.
There are four new models that will be sporting the new addition: MS248 (23.6″), MS238 (23″), MS228 (21.5″) and MS208 (20″)
The LED backlighting will deliver 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 brightness in up to 1080p resolutions right to your pleased peepers.
The only thing is that there’s seems to be no mention of price or availability – if you know anything please let me know

Another feather in the cap for Sony’s PS3.
The Blu-ray Disc Association has completed the spec for the new 3D Blu-ray standards and the Play Station 3 will be fully compatible – this means that PS3 owners will be able to enjoy the full HD 3D film fest.
The new 3D Blu-ray spec will work with any 3D displays, allow for 3D Blu-ray menus and navigation as well as being able to playback in 2D if you yearn for that old skool flava again.
Those without a PS3 may have to start saving up though.
Sony’s machine has got the graphic muscle to sling two different 1080p video feeds at once for the 3D effect but most current Blu-ray players will find themselves lacking.
So, not only will you need to get a 3D telly you’ll need to replace that Blu-ray disc-spinner while you’re at it.
There’s no release date for the first 3D Blu-ray players and discs but expect a few to pop up at the CES in January
