Soaker is an AK – AK-47 Aqua Fire Water Rifle

by Jay Garrett on March 20, 2010

Super Soakers are fun and there has been some ‘cool’ designs but if I’m looking to get into a water fight I’m opting for this AK!

Say hello to my WMD (weapon of mass drenching) of choice: the AK-47 Aqua Fire.

This soggy shooter is equipped with a battery powered motorised trigger capable of firing 4 “bullets” of water every second and an easy reload mechanism. Gone is the furious pumping to get the pressure and instead of having to shove it under the tap to refil just sling in a full water ammo clip.

The AK-47 Aqua Fire is actually fully licensed from M.T. Kalashnikov, the makers of the actual AK-47.

Features:

  • No pumping required
  • Fully motorised
  • Shoots 4 bullets of water every second
  • Safety switch
  • Clear casing to see the auto-fire mechanism
  • Holds approximately 300ml
  • Clip holds enough water for approximately 60 seconds of continuous firing
  • Requires 4 x AA Batteries (Not included)
  • Approximate dimensions 350 x 230 x 45mm
  • Range of up to 8 metres

They are launching a unique gadget specifically designed to keep your valuable and confidential documents private, The Victorinox Secure Pro and they’re boasting that it’s “completely un-hackable”.

Victorinox are so sure of themselves that they’re waving a £100,000 prize in front of those that reckon anything can be hacked.

Our Stateside cousins failed to break into it at CES earlier this year so let’s see if the UK can do this thing within the allotted two hours!

I prefer my watches to be analogue and whilst most of the ones I own are from the 50’s-70’s every now-and-then there’s a cool modern watch that catches my eye.
This ‘Aurora Watch‘ displays traditional minute and hour hands but in a very 21st Century way.
How does the sound of touch activated laser hands suit you?
Yup [...]

Ok – we’re still in the crunch even though the Government says that we’re not.
Personally – I’m still not rich so buying the girlfriend some swanky jewellery is just not gonna happen. Even on Valentines Day!
I might be able to stretch to this rather swish looking beverage though (remember I’m just a musician!).
This must [...]

K’Nex will be launching a roller coaster set later this year and it will include a webcam so you can watch the ride from the comfort of your chair whilst [...]

It looks like gun makers are stepping towards the future with a security feature worthy of Judge Dredd’s Lawgiver.
In order to fire off some rounds from the latest firearms by Armatix you need to be wearing a very unassuming wrist watch.
The watch sends a wireless arming signal to the gun. If the gun is picking [...]

Perhaps one of the lowest-tech games, Rock-Paper-Scissors (even the game devices are low tech!), has just been given the AR treatment.
To the naked eye, the shirt is a ‘normal’ tribute to the game Rock-Paper-Scissors.
The geek magic happens once you place yourself in front of a puter that’s set to T-post’s special web app and [...]

Most if us will have named our car at one point and even given it a gender – perhaps even shed a tear when the time came to part with it.
Well, the car industry, more specifically Nissan, has decided that your car should show its emotions.
The Smiling Vehicle was jointly developed by the Hara Design [...]

R2-D2 must be the galaxy’s most loved and most recognised droid.
As well as being adorable as a companion he’s also proved himself handy to have around – whether as a mechanic or patching into computer interfaces he’s helped many a human, as well as fellow droids, out of rather sticky situations.
This R2 statue is probably [...]

You may remember that I’ve written in the past about cases that can detect Wi-Fi, powered suitcases, baggage that’s secured by a scanning Biolock, circular cases for all-terrain dragging and even luggage that can convert into a two-seater settee.
Now there’s one that you can whizz-away on!
The Trolley Scooter from Samsonite and Micro Mobility is the [...]

Remember the funky Canadian Uno concept from last year?
Part TT Racer, Part unicycle. You know, the unholy coupling of a Yamaha R6 and a Segway?
It blew me away with its almost Akira futurism.
Now it’s a really real thing and you’d think that I’d still be blown away – even more so now it’s a [...]

“Hang on – I just need to dive into the store and get four cans of fire.”
Sounds daft but if designer Camillo Vanacore gets their way this could be a quote from the future.
The capsule fireplace concept involves some sort of future-ceramic that apparently becomes transparent when exposed to heat.
It looks like this fireplace [...]

Those of you out there of a certain age will be able to recall the romance of putting together a mix tape.

Volkswagen’s E-Up!
Eeeeeeeee. I thought it was saying hello using Yorkshire dialect.
Apparently the German concept vehicle has stepped up its game and appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show where VW also announced its launch date.
That date will be sometime in 2013 when Volkswagen hopes that the vehicle will become “the Beetle of the 21st [...]

Aston Martins are great.
If you asked: “Jay; what’s your favourite Aston Martin?” – I couldn’t do it. It would be like asking a father which is his favourite child.
What I can say though is the 1957 Le Mans racer DBR2 would certainly feature in the top 5, even top 3!
It seems that Rizk Automobiles [...]
