Remember the MiLi projector? The pico that’s been specially designed to chuck images from your iPhone or iPod onto a nearby wall?
Well, IWOOT now has them in stock which means if you want to throw a 70 inch image on to a clear, flat vertical surface you’re in luck.
To see your stored pics or videos go large all you have to do is flip the MiLi open, and shove your Appley device in the space that the lens unit took up.
It will play nice with an iPhone or iPod of any type – you can even hook it up to other sources via the AV in/out function.
It includes stereo speakers which is handy to share the sound as well as the vision.
It charges via USB, and a 3-hour charge will give you 1.5 hours of viewing time. It’ll also charge any device that’s plugged into it, including the ability to charge non-Apple mobile phones.
The MiLi iPhone Projector costs £230 and should be available now.
Not as swish as the HTC HD2 with its capacitive touchiness some might say but the IQ does hide something that may be of interest for those that like sharing pics and clips with friends.
The future of gadgets seems to be slapping in a projector: Cameras like the CoolPix S1000PJ and phones such as the Samsung Show and now the LG IQ
You may know the IQ by its previous codename: Monaco.
As I’ve mentioned already it doesn’t have that capacitive touchscreen but it does get a sliding landscape QWERTY keyboard, Snapdragon 1GHz processor, five megapixel camera and WVGA display – oh and that projector.
Just like the Nikon’s Coolpix the LG IQ’s pic slinger is not going to replace your guerilla cinema in a hurry but for £90 it’ll be a handy talking point – yeah, you’ve got a touchscreen but have you a projector in your pocket? Nah, thought not.
Saying that, with the projector added it does make it a bit of a chubster.
Funai has an added bonus in their pico projector – the ability to make any surface multitouch.
This prototype uses a Nippon Signal MEMS scanner and a heap of clever tech that when all combined is able to throw multitouch capabilities to whatever surface the projected image hits!
Just think, bedroom wall, office whiteboard, your desk – [...]
You remember the Samsung Show? The mobile phone that packs a projector?
Well, Nikon has just announced the world’s first digital compact camera that has a similar trick up its sleeve – it to sports an in-built projector!
The Coolpix S1000PJ will stop you having to get all your mates and/or family to crowd round the compact’s [...]
The MiLi Pro is a LCOS, LED powered projector for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Unfold the MiLi Pro and pop in your iPhone so it sits in what looks like a high-tech deckchair and off you go.
It’ll spray a picture at a res of 640×480 and they recommend not to drift further than 40 [...]
Here’s one courtesy of Engadget Chinese.
This was spotted over at Computex and to start with DigiLife’s new DDV-JF1 camera isn’t much to right home about.
Yeah, it’s a small camcorder and can shoot 720p footage and play it back to you on its 2.5 inch LCD – Whoooopeeeee!
But then you find out that it’s also cramming [...]
This is the Cinemin Swivel from WowWee.
It’s a battery-powered pocket-sized projector perfect for your iPod or iPhone.
The Cinemin Swivel costs 350 quid and has a lens that’s mounted on a hinge which can swivel through 90 degrees and can sling a 480×320 pixel moving picture up to 5 meters onto the surface of your choosing.
From [...]

Projectors are getting smaller and smaller. Let’s face it – you can get them in mobile phones now!
Have a look at the picture – yup, there’s an even smaller one!
It is the second generation Texas Instruments DLP Pico projector and it gets even better.
The petite Pico is 20% smaller than the first one as well as being 20% thinner as well.
The [...]
Looking for a pocketable projector that also doubles up as a touchscreen phone?
The Samsung Show touchscreen projector phone may not actually be the first projector phone out there, but it is the first one that isn’t a prototype, and comes from a known name.
The bad news is that it’s a Korea-only phone (it gets shipped next [...]
I love the screen on my iPhone.
It’s great for browsing and pretty sweet for films and stuff.
But, if you’re wanting to share the optical love it can get a little crowded.
Up steps the projector dock from Honlai Technology.
It’s obviously going to be larger than the official iPhone/iPod Touch USB dock but compared to other video projectors it’s [...]
Nope – this is not taken from StarWars but this is from the really real world!
The ICT Graphics Lab at USC has created a low-cost volumetric 3-D display and it looks fantastic.
Apparently (just getting my science-head on) the process utilises spinning mirrors, high-speed DLP Projections, and ridiculously precise calculations that figure out the correct axial perspective needed for [...]
This tiny work of art is JVC’s new Direct-Drive Image Light Amplifier and it can produce images at an eye-popping 8192 x 4320 resolution—that’s 35 megapixels-or around 16 times more than full HD!
JVC are saying the little single-device reflective liquid crystal imager has the highest resolution in the World – so there!
They’ve been working on this tech [...]
