Polaroid 600 One now on Sale – The Impossible Project Designer Limited Edition

Well, The Impossible Project started selling the film last week and now there’s more to tempt fans of instant photography.

The limited edition Polaroid 600 One looks rather sexy (for a camera).

It’s been designed by Paul Giambarba, and comes with a pack of Polaroid 600 film.

The camera itself has an inbuilt flash and focus-free lens, plus the modern addition of a digital LCD screen for displaying picture count.

If you miss out on this £135 limited edition Polaroid 600 One you may be able to comfort yourself in the thought that there may well be more design collaborations on the way ;)

Get Your New Polaroid Film from Thursday!

Any regular visitor here will know that Polaroid stopped making instant film in 2004 and that The Impossible Project took this as a personal challenge.

The Impossible Project actually bought the last functioning Polaroid plant in Enschede and will start selling its first products, namely PX 100 and PX 600 Silver Shade, monochrome instant film for Polaroid SX 70 cameras this Thursday (March 25th).

You can grab the Polaroid replacement film from The Impossible Project’s website.

A pack of 8 shots will set you back $18 (£16) – So, £2 a shot aint cheap but it is for a cult photo process you Philistines!

A further 6 types of instant film compatible with Polaroid cameras are planned by The Impossible Project in 2010 including its first colour film due this summer and films for the Polaroid Image, Polaroid Spectra and Polaroid 1200 cameras later in the year.

Just in time for the release of the PIC-1000, the first new Polaroid camera for years at a cost of around £60!

I still can’t refuse to believe that the Polaroid creative director is Lady Gaga!!!
