First picture I saw of this little Panasonic lead me to believe that it was a neat portable LCD Television.
Gah – how wrong and foolish do I feel now?
What it is, in fact, is Panasonic’s new MW-10 “multimedia audio system photo frame”.
Not only will it show pictures held on either its 4GB of internal memory or stuff held on SD cards shoved in the units slot it sports an FM tuner and a built-in CD player to complement the iPod dock.
I’m a little dubious regarding the “audiophile-quality sound” that its supposed to pack but hey – until I hear it then we have to take the word of the press-release I guess.
It was released in Japan last month and is set to hit the states next month for an asking price of $299.95

I loved the Panasonic G1 and it proved itself to be idiot proof as I almost won a competition with it when I had one to review.
Now it seems that Panasonic has checked out the Olympus E-P1 and thought retro is where it’s at.
Say hello to the Panasonic GF1.
So, what’s the difference ‘tween the G1 and GH1 compared with GF1?
Well, remember that they had modern little DSLR-type bodies? The Panasonic GF1 is much squarer and is more like the nostalgically styled Panasonic LX3 in the looks department.
The new old-looking Panasonic GF1 get’s a 12.1 megapixel sensor, a 3 inch screen and AVCHD Lite 720p video.
You also get a pop-up flash and a hot shoe for attaching accessories – Panasonic also followed Olympus by dropping the viewfinder.
Lens-wise, in the leaked pics there’s a compact 20mm F1.7 and a Leica 45mm F2.8.
As you’d expect from leaked news – no other firm details out there just yet.
