SE_satioIf you have the 12mp camera equipped SE handset and things seem to be a tad odd or, hopefully, yours is working just tickety-boo you should read on.

The Satio has now been removed from the shelves of both CPW and Phones4U.

Word is that the problems stem from a “software fault” so perhaps it’s not playing nice with the version of Symbian S60 that the Satio runs.

In a statement to Electric Pig Sony Ericsson said, “Sony Ericsson confirms that it has been made aware that a small number of consumers have experienced software issues with its Satio handset when using certain applications. Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u have temporarily removed the handset from sale to ensure that future customers do not have an adverse experience. Sony Ericsson is giving this matter its utmost priority and is working toward solving it as soon as possible. ” It did not issue any details on what’s actually wrong with the cell.

Vodafone said that “The version of the Sony Ericsson Satio that we range includes Vodafone software that we’ve tested specifically. The version that CPW has is different to the version that we sell our customers directly. With any device that goes out to market we experience a proportion of returns, but the returns we’ve seen on the Vodafone version of the Satio are not at the point where we would recall the device.

Orange says it shall continue selling the Satio as “Its own unique software build on the Orange branded variant, which is optimised for our network and which went through a significant period of testing prior to launch.” However, Orange also says it’s keeping a close eye on the situation.

Basically if your top-end SE blower has stopped working sprint it over to whence it came.

Carphone Warehouse said that if yours isn’t working you should take it over straight away and they’ll offer any customer who returns a faulty Satio an alternative phone.

So – you had any problems with yours?

iphone-dead-screen-display-stripNo-one (apart from my BlackBerry owning friends) would argue that the iPhone is pretty much one of the most popular handsets out there at the moment.

After the disaster that was Vista, Windows is hoping that 7 will be the most popular OS.

Now, if I was Microsoft I’d be making sure that Windows 7 plays nicely with the iPhone.

Apparently Intel’s quality control team seem to have somehow missed an issue between Apple’s handheld masterpiece and the P55 Express chipset’s USB controller.

Consistent (and persistent) syncing issues have been reported on Apple’s support forums, wherein iTunes on Windows 7 machines recognizes the iPhone, but cries “error 0xE8000065″ whenever the user attempts to sync.

While some have found limited success with using PCI-based USB cards (and bypassing the chipset), this is clearly a major issue and something Apple would expect to be fixed before shipping its Core i5 / i7 iMacs, which are likely to sport the chipset.

The UK based Twit Or Fit has now launched!
Think a mash-up of Twitter and Hot Or Not.
Basically you rate the appearance of people displayed on a scale of 1-10.
Why has this happened?  Well, it could be something to do with HotOrNot being sold recently for a rumored $20 million!
TwitOrFit relies on Twitter members and therefore has little inherent intellectual property so [...]
