Uno CycleRemember the funky Canadian Uno concept from last year?

Part TT Racer, Part unicycle. You know, the unholy coupling of a Yamaha R6 and a Segway?

It blew me away with its almost Akira futurism.

Now it’s a really real thing and you’d think that I’d still be blown away – even more so now it’s a reality.

Well……….. not quite.

Unfortunately as soon as the Uno hits 20mph instead of looking like Kaneda’s choice of racer it transforms into an odd-looking regular two-wheeled thing (See the pic in the gallery below).

Ben Gulak, the Uno’s inventor covers himself by saying: “The original Uno was quite scary to speed up on. This is a much more user-friendly experience.”

Whoever gets on a motorbike for a safe and friendly experience?

What says you?

Honda P-NUT is Most Savoury

by Jay Garrett on December 4, 2009

honda-p-nutMmmmmm……….. peeeeeeeeeeeeeanuuuuuuts……. Peanuts and beer……. beeeeeeeeeer…..

Ahem – you’d better not be thinking beer if you’re going to use this P-NUT from Honda.

Yup – The Honda P-NUT.

This is the Japanese manufacturers glimpse into the future and there’s not even a snack-tray in sight.

The Honda P-NUT (Or Personal-Neo Urban Transport) has just been unveiled at the LA Auto Show and, like so many other concepts, is specifically designed to be “ideal for use in cities and tight urban areas,” – in other words it’s designed to be stood in traffic and squeeze into parking bays that are actually too small.

Honda has opted for the central driving position option which has been seen before but I’m digging that modular engine slot which means you can take out that battery-powered motor for some old-skool petroleum spirited horses.

I quite like the futurist exterior but when you get into the drivers seat you’ll notice the lack of dials, just a speedometer on a stalk which may be multi-use but the P-NUT uses the windshield as a display for navigation, and can even dish out picture in picture views from the rear camera.

Word is that this is just a concept and is likely to remain so – but would you be proud to tell your buddies in the pub that you arrived in a P-NUT?

Aston Martins are great.
If you asked: “Jay; what’s your favourite Aston Martin?” – I couldn’t do it. It would be like asking a father which is his favourite child.
What I can say though is the 1957 Le Mans racer DBR2 would certainly feature in the top 5, even top 3!
It seems that Rizk Automobiles [...]

It seems that I’m having a bit of a car day today – no bad thing to me
No I’m mixing it up with some audio tech that’ll be in the lovely looking new Jaguar XJ when it’s unleashed.
I’m a fan of B&W’s speakers already but slipping them into highly polished wood alongside leather [...]
