Home DuvetThis is a cool idea.

Make your bed resemble a series of cardboard boxes (even the flatsheet looks like a pavement) with the added bonus of actually doing a bit of good so that you can sleep a little easier.

This high quality duvet cover features a photographic print of a cardboard box. This produces an extremely sharp image that stays flexible because the ink is printed directly in the cotton. The image will stay crisp after frequent washing. The cotton has a thread count of 144 threads per square inch, so it’s soft to the touch virtually non-iron. The duvet cover is produced in Pakistan and child labour is not used. 30% of the gross profits go to Centrepoint, the UK charity for homeless young people aged 16-25 (charity number 292411). Every night Centrepoint provides support and housing for 800 vulnerable homeless young people.

£49.95 is the asking price for a king size and £42.95 for the double which is pretty good.

Let’s face it – we’ve all brought someone back home that perhaps would’ve been more at home sleeping in the yard…………

………….oh…………… just me then…………….

Anyhooooooooo…….. pad over to the site and buy the set!

nasaiphoneAnyone with the slightest interest in what happens in the area above our atmosphere *must* get this new free iPhone app from NASA!

Yup – if the boring commute gets too much you can flip through the universe. How many other apps can do that?

You get to access NASA’s actual countdown clocks, view the NASA Image of the Day, Astronomy Image of the Day as well as follow their Twitter feeds and view their latest videos.

My favourite has to be the option to track spacecraft and other bits of space junk that are currently in orbit, following their paths through space.

It’s free, it’s interesting and you might even learn summink – where’s the downside?

Go and zoom over to the iTunes App Store.

Space……………
The final frontier………

Thumbnail image for RFID Comes to iPhone

I’ve just received a link to a rather groovy vid.
RFID technology has plenty of potential but, to be honest, it’s not really appearing ‘all over the shop’ just yet.
One reason for this could be he lack of RFID readers (short of the Mir:ror by the Nazbatag makers).
This hasn’t dampened the touchpaper for the people behind [...]

Non-reversing Mirror Developed

February 26, 2009 Click to read more →

Now this is boggling my mind!
We’ve all got used to seeing our reversed selves in the mirror yeah?
And although when applying eye-liner and lipstick can become a bit of an issue (apparently ) we get by just fine.
Also when checking for cyclists in your wing-mirrors you don’t really care what their T-shirt reads [...]

Projectors are getting smaller and smaller.  Let’s face it – you can get them in mobile phones now!
Have a look at the picture – yup, there’s an even smaller one!
It is the second generation Texas Instruments DLP Pico projector and it gets even better.
The petite Pico is 20% smaller than the first one as well as being 20% thinner as well.

LHC Works and Here’s The First Picture!

September 10, 2008 Click to read more →

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), better known as the Black Hole Maker was switched on a couple hours ago, everyone survived and the first beam of protons made the 27km sprint smashing into an absorbing doopher called a collimator.
And this is the first pic from the thing
Apparently, and more to the point, worryingly, the LHC worked like [...]
