Electrolux Can of Fire – Pack Away Fireplace

by Jay Garrett on October 20, 2009

Electrolux-portable-fireplace“Hang on – I just need to dive into the store and get four cans of fire.”

Sounds daft but if designer Camillo Vanacore gets their way this could be a quote from the future.

The capsule fireplace concept involves some sort of future-ceramic that apparently becomes transparent when exposed to heat.

It looks like this fireplace will fit easily into your hand which means packing one or more into a rucksack shouldn’t be a problem.

This is a great idea for camping, for smokers kicked out of the house to have their fix now that the nights are getting cooler and just for the sake of asking the shop-keeper for a case of fire.

Thumbnail image for Venn Diagram of Hybrid Cutlery – Onwards From The Spork?

Perhaps I have been enjoying the bank holiday a little too much but I think that this Venn Diagram of hybrid cutlery is totally cool!
