Yup – I’m downloading as I type.

Ubisoft has released the multiplayer edition of Assassin’s Creed II for iPhone, and it’s completely free to download for the first two days! Beautiful!

Don’t be expecting a friend frenzy version of the original Assassin’s Creed II iPhone game though.

This is a birds-eye view sneak fest and not the glossy 3D full console game featuring voice actors and all that.

You still have to rely on stealth and go around assassinating folk; but the great thing is that you’ll be playing against real-life opponents. You can play against up to three other players over Wi-Fi. Nice :)

Ignoring the graphics and the change of view the gameplay is pretty much the same as you’ve come to know and love. You can sneak around in crowds to avoid being seen before pouncing on opponents before they do the same to you.

All this sneaking and general assassininininin with 3 of your buddies doing exactly the same should give this mobile game some depth and longevity.

As I mentioned earlier, if you spring over to the app store within the next day and a half you get Assissin’s Creed II: Multiplayer for free :)

After that it’ll cost you £1.79.

nene-anegasakiAh…….. that feeling of finding your perfect partner.

You see them and suddenly you drift off into a different reality.

If you spend most of your time on the interweb you may even get romantically involved with someone’s avatar before you actually get to see each other for real….

….or perhaps you fall in love with a virtual girlfriend.

I mean – *really* in love to the point of marriage!

Konami’s Love Plus has apparently made a Japanese man, SAL900 (not his real name by-the-way), fall so deeply in love with his virtual girlfriend that he is planning to legally marry her.

The man flew to Guam to marry the girlfriend, Nene Anegasaki.

I wonder if a virtual wife is still entitled to half the house, car, and music collection?

Here’s a video of the event:

He also says that the console will move into “other aspects of daily life” – so do we take it that Nintendo will be branching [...]

So it seems that Peekaboo Pole Dancing is left [...]
