EeePC

asus_eeepc_t91_touchscreenAsus added the Eee PC T91 to its EeePC line-up as predicted.

If you can recall this is the first Eee model to sport an 8.9″ swivelable touchscreen and a suite of touch-optimised software that enables users to get the most out of finger or stylus input.

We first saw the Asus Eee PC T91 at CES 2009 even though it slipped beneath my radar to start with.

The Asus Eee PC T91’s unique software apps, collectively known as TouchSuite, allow users to get tactile with their tasks such as: literally touching up photos, creating photo albums, leaving handwritten desktop memos for the next to use the puter, and sketching cartoons or custom emoticons.

As well as being a pretty handy addition to the EeePC range it works as a tablet so that users can read documents, scribble ideas into digital notebooks and surf the Internet on the move without having to open up the lappy.

The T91 is also packing a TV tuner and Global Positioning System (GPS) for extensive entertainment options and advanced navigation capabilities on the go.

The Eee PC T91 comes in Black and White and will cost you just shy of £500

Asus Eee PC Seashell Has UK Price-Tag

by Jay G on May 6, 2009

asus-seashellAnother Asus Eee PC!

This one is the 1008HA Seashell – the company’s new skinny 10 inch netbook and it’s now on sale in the UK.

It weighs in at 1.1kg and measures less than an inch thick at its fattest.

The netbook offers up the 1.67HGz Intel Atom N280 processor and claims to go for six hours before needing a recharge.

It sports a 10-inch LED-backlit WSVGA 1024×600 display, a 160GB hard drive plus 10GB online Eee Storage, 802.11b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth 2.1, SRS sound and a multi-touch touchpad.

Asus is raving about the “Super Hybrid Engine” technology that claims to monitor task loading in order to hit the best power level.

Apparently it’s “offering the perfect balance between performance and energy conservation”.

You can get your mits on one from 15 May 2009.

The Windows XP packed Eee 1008HA Seashell will cost a suggested retail price of £379.
