Pentax_Kx_100_Colors_100_StylesYou go to buy a camera and chances are you resign yourself to it being a black box more often than not.

Short of taking your DSLR to a gadgety colouring specialist like Colorware you’d usual be stuck.

Sure – you can get red, silver, and some limited edition finishes but Pentax feels your pain.

You want, nay, need to express yourself.

To this end Pentax has recently introduced the new upper entry level DSLR camera Pentax K-x. Breaking away from the conventional black coloured bodied DSLR, the new K-x will come in a whole new range of colours. “Pentax K-x 100 colours 100 styles” provides you with 20 coloured bodies and 5 coloured grips to mix and match around with.

With the possibility of 100 different colour combinations, the K-x model certainly offers a uniquely customisable option to make you happy snappers.

Get your team colours, show your patriotism, flash your keen designery eye – just go crazy!

Here’s a spec list but hey – look at those colour combos!

All that’s left to say is that you can go get one now!

Panasonic GF1I loved the Panasonic G1 and it proved itself to be idiot proof as I almost won a competition with it when I had one to review.

Now it seems that Panasonic has checked out the Olympus E-P1 and thought retro is where it’s at.

Say hello to the Panasonic GF1.

So, what’s the difference ‘tween the G1 and GH1 compared with GF1?

Well, remember that they had modern little DSLR-type bodies? The Panasonic GF1 is much squarer and is more like the nostalgically styled Panasonic LX3 in the looks department.

The new old-looking Panasonic GF1 get’s a 12.1 megapixel sensor, a 3 inch screen and AVCHD Lite 720p video.

You also get a pop-up flash and a hot shoe for attaching accessories – Panasonic also followed Olympus by dropping the viewfinder.

Lens-wise, in the leaked pics there’s a compact 20mm F1.7 and a Leica 45mm F2.8.

As you’d expect from leaked news – no other firm details out there just yet.

You may have read my review about the Panasonic G1 a week or so ago.

Cast your minds back to September 12th where I wrote about the new Panasonic Lumix G1.

So, for me, a [...]

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 – Best of Both Worlds?

What’s not a full DSLR but not a standard point ‘n’ shoot camera?
Not sure?
Check out Panasonic’s first Micro ‘Four Thirds-standard camera’, the Lumix DMC-G1.
It has the bragging rights to being the world’s smallest and lightest camera that takes interchangeable lenses.
The 12.1-megapixel camera uses a format that ditches the internal mirror and prism while maintaining a DSLR-sized sensor.
It [...]

I’m very pleased to see the Panasonic TZ in there [...]

The new firmware for Canon’s EOS 40D (version 1.0.5) sorts out the file format compatibility niggles with Adobe software like Photoshop and Lightroom; also some language issues are ironed out and it sets photo review to resume where it left off before shutting down.
