HexBug’s range has featured robotic ants and cyber crabs but now here’s their latest future-insect.
The HexBug Nano Newtons are small enough for you to see in the corner of your eye and have you reaching for a rolled-up newspaper.
They sprint around on rubber feet and go careering around the place like amphetamine crazed cockroach.
Their realistic movements go as far as being able to flip themselves back over if they end up on their backs.

The Newtons come in collectible test tube packages with various different genetic “mutations” (or colours to you and I).
No real surprise that the price has been cut for this as, to me, it looks freaky as hell.
To be honest I’d find it difficult enough sharing a room with this; let alone a bed.
But for those of you that have been waiting for such a deal the creepy one-armed “Hug Me Pillow” has dropped from $44.95 down to a more manageable $29.99 you, errrrrrr, lucky folk!

This is a great idea but not for those who are a bit jumpy.
The Plantbot comes with some sort of solar seeking tech on board which literally moves it around to follow sunlight in the room.
Yup – it moves around on its four wooden, jointed legs to chase the rays of the sun.
